Textbook Pick-Up
If you didn’t pick up your textbooks at registration, please visit the BHS library on the second floor of the D-building Monday-Thursday, 8:00-8:30 am, during lunch, or 3:30-4:00 pm. 

Meatless Monday
Welcome back to school, Jackets! Start this year off right by eating right this Meatless Monday. Eating vegetarian today means preserving resources, the climate, and your body. Whether you’re eating off-campus, from the cafeteria, or bringing your own food, there are delicious vegetarian options all around you! Find free vegetarian meals at the cafeteria every day! It’s not all or nothing! Every meal counts. Make yours today! @bhszerowaste @meatlessmonday 

Join JV Boys Water Polo
The boys water polo team, reigning league champions, is recruiting a few more players for the JV team.  This is an opportunity to learn a new sport and join a successful program.  Previous water polo experience is not required, but athletes should be comfortable swimming.  The season is underway and games start in two weeks. Contact Coach Brodie Jasper at to learn how to get started. 

Join Football
Interested in playing Football? If you missed the football meeting in the bleachers on Monday contact the coaches. Join the excitement. Go Jackets! 

Fall PE Waiver due September 10
Any student, participating in a state or nationally sponsored, competitive sports activity, including a professional dance company, can request a waiver of the Physical Education requirement from the BHS Administration. Please review the entire requirements for approval of the waiver and submit the completed form by September 10, 2021. The forms are available at the Counseling Center. 

Free Food For All Students
All students will be able to receive FREE breakfast and FREE lunch throughout the entire school year. Meals will be pre-packed, heated and ready to go at the pickup window. Students will not need to fill out Lunch Applications this year. You will pick up the meals from the little window on the outside of the cafeteria near the main entrance to the D-Building. BHS Staff pay $3.50 for breakfast & $5.50 for lunch. 

Make-up School Photo
If you missed taking a registration week, what do I need to do? No worries, there are make-up school ID photo dates scheduled for Wednesday August 18 and next week August 25 during lunch and after school in the BHS Cafeteria. There will be another make-up photo date on October 6th. Visit for information on 2021-22 LifeTouch School PhotosTo browse and purchase packages before your Photo Day.To purchase packages after Photo Day, you will need a Portrait ID from the order form.   

If any BHS student or staff member is interested in submitting an announcement, there are some basic guidelines to follow:
Here are the basic guidelines for submitting a bulletin:
1. It must be relevant to roughly 100 or more students or staff members. 
2. It must be a message that promotes community and builds up positive school culture. 
3. Please no birthday announcements or personal requests.
