Starting March 8th, Energize Schools is launching weekly challenges that explore the sustainability areas of waste, water, transportation, air quality, and energy. Through interactive online games and action planning, BUSD’s middle and high school students are encouraged to reduce their own environmental impact and create sustainable behavior change campaigns to inspire others. (Challenge activities are accessible in English and Spanish and adaptable for distance, hybrid, or in-person learning). Students who complete all the challenges will earn a Sustainability Specialist Certificate which is a great resume booster! Students can also submit their campaign to win a grand prize!
