Rosa Guzman

Hello. My name is Rosa Guzman.

I am from Santa Ana, California but ended up in the bay area for graduate school. I earned my Master of Arts and teaching credential at UC Berkeley. When I am not teaching I like to travel! I try to go somewhere new every summer. I am not a tourist traveler. My goal when traveling is to throw myself into a culture and live like a local.  I enjoy to share my life with my family, friends, and wonderful partner. I describe my approach to teaching as “up close and personal”. I strongly believe that real, genuine learning doesn’t happen until there is trust in the classroom– until every student feels safe and comfortable. I love teaching because students make me feel inspired. I want nothing more than to see them succeed.
